Freehavens quayside was, as always, a busy place. Boats came and went. Shipments loaded and unloaded. Men yelling, kids running and fisher-women hawked their wares in booming voices one would not be blamed for thinking belonged to a man. As a place of commerce and trade, especially in a city as rich as Freehaven controlled, seemingly, by money and those who possessed it. Of course in a place where money travelled through, especially when it was tied up in sea trade, you would find crime and other undesirable aspects of society. One such undesirable aspect of society, especially with port towns, was immigration both the legal and illegal kind. Sadly not everyone who fled their home lands to find a better life had successes, which was to blame for the large amount of beggars and homeless, but there was one visitor to the city who stood apart from the others. Riding down the streets of the quayside was a large white horse ridden upon by a knight in silver armour. A sword rested upon her waist and in her hand she held a spiral lance.

As the horse trotted down the cobbled streets it was clear from how this women held her back straight, looked beyond the crowds and how clean she was that she stood apart from the ordinary people. The question was why was this obvious outsider here? She was by no means a normal visitor to the port of Freehaven and so the question of why was one you couldn't be blamed for asking. Adelinda's motivation for visiting Freehaven was to accrue money not out of greed or selfishness but to right a wrong. The full resources of the kingdom that should rightfully belong to her were against her and unfortunately while her kingdom may not be the biggest in the world it still had an army and sadly one women could not hope to fight off an entire army by herself. The only way she could reclaim her throne was by breaking through to the capital and bringing the usurper to justice! Sadly she did not realise there may have been an easier way than breaking through with an army. Anyway armies required money and that was why she was here in Freehaven. She wished to get an audience with the town's merchant lords and bargain with them for financial support.

On the side of the road, there was a young looking elvish woman tending to the wounds of a man who claimed to have been violently robbed of his money. He wanted to run after the thieves alongside the guards who earlier rushed past Adelinda's horse in a hurry after aman who ran past before turning the corner. She was using her staff to use some sort of spell to heal the man's wounds while trying to keep him from running after the thief. "Will you please stop squirming? Im only trying to help!" She yelled when the man began pushing her.

As she trotted down the streets on her horse the king turned renegade, hunted by her own country no less, observed the matters and daily lives of the peasants. One such life was apparently a women, with pointed eyes no less, struggling to prevent a man from charging off so she could heal his injuries. Adelinda came to a stop next to the elf and the human looking down at them dispassionately. "....You know if he doesn't want your help you shouldn't force it on him." At the end of the day one thing Adelinda believed in, rather vehemently at that,  independence although that was probably rather arrogant given her standing in the world. "After all he's not a child. What he chooses to do is ultimately his own business. One should not seek to meddle." Honestly she was in a little bit of a bad mood today, mostly due to the stress involved in figuring out how on Earth she was going to get her kingdom back, hence why the tone of her voice was rather cold sounding with a definite edge to it.

The man was bleeding extensively, upon closer examination it was obvious that the thief was not afraid of murdering his victims. Valindra had a though time keeping him alive and eventually the man started to succumb to his wounds when the giant horse stopped behind her. That was when she started to get the best of the healing and the wound was looking less and less nasty in seconds. But when Adelinda spoke to her, her ear twitched and she rounded up the healing. In just a minute the man was up and gave chase to the thief, no doubt he wouldnt catch the culprit.

She turned around and looked up. Now with new light cast on her face, her tiara became visible. Anyone knowing a bit of elves should know that this tiara showed her to be the rightfull heir to the throne of Evantis, current capitol of the elves. "Perhaps, but if anyone will stand between grim reaper and the life of the innocent it will be me."

Adelinda observed the man's apparent cessation of struggling which she took as an indicator he was willing to undergo the healing offered; still it was rather odd that he had suddenly decided to stop. Oh well if he wished to be inconsistent that was his business but one thing that did honestly bother Adelinda was the fact this elf felt she could stand between the Grim Reaper. "You....do realise in traditional mythology the Grim Reaper doesn't actually cause people's death correct?" Even though her own people had a totally different mythology it was still something Adelinda had picked up during the year she'd been living in this miserable besotted continent. "But still while being a healer is a valid profession you're not the world's mother." Her eyes rested upon the elf's tiara but it meant nothing to her. Whatever race this pointed eyed female belonged to meant very little to the ousted ruler especially given how "elves" did not exist in Adelinda's kingdom of Altdorf. The king stepped aside, well her horse did, allowing the now healed man to chase after the thief of course any decent thief would have had plenty of time to make good their escape.

She frowned at the woman sitting on her horse. Despite growing up as a royalty, Valindra always had a sense of humility and thought more of lives than just a means to success of her own affairs. And she didnt see anything like this in the woman in front of her. Perhaps she saw it wrong but right now she glanced up with a bit of an angered expression. "When orcs have destroyed our king and left me with little to nothing of assistance to rule a nation while they harass the entire continent it is my duty to undo the damage they cause when i can. More importantly, what is a noble doing outside of the safety of their city in times like this? Orcs are running rampant and crime has never been this common before."
